Both applicants and road authority users can place a permit request "on hold". In PermitManager, this is done by clicking the Put Job On Hold button at the top right of the job screen:
To put a permit application on hold, a reason will need to be supplied, e.g. the job may not be starting for a long time, may be awaiting other information or instructions, etc.:
To view the reason for a permit being on hold, hover your mouse over the i icon next to the Job On Hold button. A popup will appear showing the details of the date it was put on hold, who put it on hold, and the reason why it has been put on hold:
Permits can be taken off hold by both applicants and road authority users, regardless of who put it on hold in the first place. This is also true of multiple users within your organisation; different users can place permits on or off hold no matter which user a permit is assigned to.
To do this, click the Job On Hold button at the top right of the screen:
The job will now be considered active again and the button will revert to being a Put Job On Hold button in case that status is required again in future.
