The Notes screen can be used by road authority staff to leave memos about the applicant/permit for other users to see if required. These can be any helpful messages for the staff working on the request to keep track of any phone conversations, problems, etc. These notes are for internal use and cannot be seen by the applicant; however please note that depending on the freedom of information laws in your region, the applicant may be entitled to request to see them.
The Notes screen can be accessed by clicking the Notes option from below the left-hand traffic light panel on PermitManager:
The screen appears as below:
Previous notes will be shown on the right-hand side of the screen, saved in ascending order (earliest on top). These will show the note's author, as well as the time and date they were created.
On the left is a text field where new notes can be added. Enter your message, then click Post Note to save it.
Notes cannot be deleted or edited, so if any clarification is required for an existing note this can be added in as a new note.
